EASTON, Pa. – A popular spot for lattes and lush green houseplants is continuing to blossom in Northampton County.
Plants + Coffee, a family-owned and -operated coffee and plant shop at 1458 Northampton St. in Easton, has plans to expand into a neighboring space at the same address.

The adjacent space was previously home to Mystery Box Games, a board game cafe that closed last month.
A target opening date for Plants + Coffee’s expansion has not yet been determined, but DeLorenzo is hopeful for the expansion to debut by the end of the year.
“I can’t wait,” DeLorenzo told 69 News on Tuesday.
“It’s going to allow us to expand on seating, our menu and retail selection. We have a lot of plants already, and those will be growing with the new space. The expansion also will allow us to host events. A lot of people ask us if we can do events, and we really can’t during hours because of our current, smaller set-up. But now we’ll be able allow vendors and artisans to host pop-up events and also open up the space to community groups looking to host events.”
Plants + Coffee currently offers seating for around 24 guests, and the expansion will roughly triple that capacity, DeLorenzo said.

“We’re so busy, especially on the weekends, that we have to put a time limit on the tables,” DeLorenzo added. “So, the expansion is going to bring more of a comfy, cozy environment instead of a rushed model.”
Plants + Coffee, offering a wide assortment of potted plants, specialty coffee drinks, locally made bagels and more, held a grand opening in April 2023.
The business is an outgrowth of DeLorenzo’s first plant shop, The Curious Plantaholic, which she operated from 2020 to 2025 at 45 E. Belvidere St. in Nazareth.
“I’m so excited to continue growing,” DeLorenzo said.
“There was a doorway between the two spaces, and the city had us close it up when Mystery Box Games rented out the other space. So, we’re going to open it back up to allow people to go back and forth between the rooms.”
The expansion will feature a new kitchen, along with a separate check-out counter for shoppers looking to purchase plants, locally made pottery, candles and other retail goods.
It also will bring wider selection of books from barista Jocelyn “Jojo” Schienholz’s recently opened Jojo’s Book Nook.
The new set-up will help the overall flow of the business.
“That way, if you want to buy just a plant, book or other item, you don’t have to wait in line at the food and drink counter,” DeLorenzo said.
The drink menu of Plants + Coffee features coffee options such as cortado, cappuccino, macchiato and iced coffee; teas such as London fog, iced green tea and iced hibiscus tea; lemonades such as lavender lemonade and “Peachy Palmer”; spritzers including cran apple and brown sugar cherry; and lattes such as chai, honey lavender, brown sugar fig matcha, strawberry matcha and ube matcha.

Drinks can be customized with flavored syrups such as caramel, chocolate and raspberry and milks such as oat, almond and pistachio, and guests also can enjoy rotating seasonal specials, including current offerings such as a pecan pie latte, pumpkin roll chai and white pumpkin latte.
The food menu includes fresh bagels such as asiago and sesame, cinnamon raisin, blueberry and everything; bagel specials including a chopped hoagie bagel, French onion bagel and tuna melt bagel; and signature bagels such as an avocado toast bagel, pizza bagel and lox.
Construction on the expansion has already begun, and DeLorenzo does not anticipate work interfering with Plants + Coffee’s operations.
The business remains open during its regular hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
