Recorded Recreational Reading for the Blind officials are preparing to celebrate 50 years of service to the community.
The group will hold its “Reading for the Blind” fundraiser 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, 13049 N. 103rd Ave.
The event will feature volunteers who read books and newspapers for the blind that are distributed to the community as well as local authors, said Sarah Shew, chairwoman of the organizaton’s board of directors.
