PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man who was trying to get into a rideshare vehicle in Philadelphia’s Overbrook section was shot and killed.
It happened in the 800 block of Wynnewood Road just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police say the 19-year-old victim had just left a friend’s house when two shooters ambushed him at close range, right as the victim was getting into the Uber ride.
Officers found more than 40 spent shell casings at the scene, as well as a backpack next to the victim with a rifle inside.
Police are working to figure out if that weapon belonged to him or one of the shooters.
