The school district will hold a swearing-in ceremony for Velazquez at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the main entrance lobby of Bensalem High School, 4319 Hulmeville Road.
Students, staff, and community members are invited to attend.
“I look forward to welcoming Dr. Velasquez as our next superintendent,” School Board Vice President Stephanie A. Gonzalez Ferrandez told Patch on Wednesday. “I have known Victoria for nearly a decade and know her to be a person of integrity, compassion, and dedication to Bensalem. She is the person our community made clear to this board that it wants to lead the district forward.”
