NEW BETHLEHEM – Winners from the Peanut Butter Festival Parade and other contests were announced following the Sept. 18-20 festival in New Bethlehem.
This year’s winners include:
PARADE
• Marching Band — 1st place, Redbank Valley High School.
• Floats — 1st place, Leatherwood Academy; 2nd place, Leach Agency; 3rd place, JBA Farmhouse.
• Marching Units — 1st place, Coach Blondie Tumble and Cheer; 2nd place, Redbank Valley Elementary.
• Specialty Units — 1st place, Toy Drilling.
• Fire Vehicles — Rescue Truck, Ringgold; Tanker, Ringgold; Pumper, Distant.
• Best of Show Vehicle — John Bish.
• Oldest Vehicle — Ridge Runner Model A’s.
DUCK RACE
• First place ($200) — Alice Curll.
• Second place ($100) — Kim Ruby.
• Third place ($75) — Julie Simpson.
PEANUT BUTTER COOK-OFF
• Main Dish — 1st place, Toasted Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich, Kim McHenry from New Bethlehem.
• Candy — 1st place, Peanut Butter Melt-Away Fudge, Linda Emhoff from New Bethlehem.
• Cookies/Bar — 1st place, Sinful Peanut Butter Squares, Linda Emhoff from New Bethlehem.
• Cakes/Pies/Cupcakes — 1st place, Peanut Butter Cheesecake, Sammi Hudson from Lucinda.
• Other/Misc. — 1st place, Peanut Butter Roll, Nicole Engelhardt from Summerville.
• Best Overall — Peanut Butter Roll, Nicole Engelhardt from Summerville.
