Lagaspi started working at Hamilton Elementary/Middle School on July 1, 2026, according to a Baltimore City Public Schools spokesperson.
He has worked for the school system since 2008.
The school system has not identified any complaints against Lagaspi in BCPS’ Fair Practices/Office of Legal Counsel, according to school officials.
In a letter to the school community on Tuesday, Principal Natasha Pouncey said she’s unable to share additional details due to “employee privacy laws and the court proceedings.”
Pouncey also said currently the school district doesn’t have information that Lagaspi’s alleged crime involved any current or former City Schools students.
“Our primary focus remains on supporting our students and maintaining a consistent learning environment,” Pouncey added.
People with concerns about interactions involving their student should call School Police at 410-396-8588.
