Michael Garr murder: Man found guilty in random killing of 15-year-old in Upper Darby

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) — A man has been found guilty in the fatal 2023 stabbing of a high school student in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.

A Delaware County jury convicted Marson Weh of first-degree murder in the killing of 15-year-old Michael Garr, a 10th-grade student in the Upper Darby School District.

Investigators said Garr was walking along the 200 block of Bridge Street just before 10 p.m. on April 21, 2023, when he was attacked.

Authorities said Garr was stabbed and slashed 11 times in what prosecutors described as a random assault.

Police arrested 26-year-old Weh 11 days after the killing. Investigators said he was spotted leaving a residence and was wearing the same clothing seen on surveillance video from the night of the murder.

Weh has not yet been sentenced.
