From hard-rocking music to flashy plants to classic movies, Pittsburgh’s schedule is packed this weekend. Here are a few events to catch your eye.

Four Chord Music Festival

Returning to the Pittsburgh area, this two-day festival features some big names from the current rock scene in a packed slate.

Including acts such as Knocked Loose, Pierce the Veil, Mayday Parade, Boys Like Girls, We Came As Romans and many more, this lineup will excite younger fans and those with a more old-school emo background. Tickets are available for each day separately, as well as for both days, in general admission and VIP levels.

Tropical Forest Panama Festival

Temperatures outside might be cooling off, but inside Phipps Conservatory, it’s still hot and humid. This Saturday brings the Tropical Forest Panama Festival.

See the vibrant tropical exhibit while enjoying other special activities, including a chance to learn about Panamanian culture and forest floor ecology, and delicious Latin American cuisine. For kids, there are crafting activities. And there are even more learning and connection opportunities throughout the day.

‘Labyrinth’ in Concert

Cult classic Jim Henson film “Labyrinth” is (believe it or not) turning 40 this year, so take part in this celebration with music and film intertwined. The touring company has taken this show to more than 100 cities around the world.

Starring David Bowie and a very young Jennifer Connelly, “Labyrinth” is a fantasy film with great music added in.

Aspinwall Craft Beer Crawl

Beer lovers can enjoy a lovely day in Aspinwall this weekend with a variety of delicious brews on a self-guided tour.

Ticket holders receive a wristband, a map and glassware to carry through each stop to try different libations. Participants can also enjoy entertainment from local bands at stops throughout the business district. Featured breweries include Local Remedy Brewing, Cinderlands Beer Co. and Hitchhiker Brewing Co.

The event is Saturday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Participants can buy tickets beforehand or on the day of the event if it hasn’t sold out. Naturally, the event is for ages 21 and over; tickets are $40 in advance and $50 on the day of the event. To learn more, visit aspinwallchamber.com.

Mt. Lebanon Artists’ Market

This two-day juried fine arts exhibition returns in Mt. Lebanon and features 60-80 artists showing off their original work, brought to us by the Mt. Lebanon Partnership.

The artistic media will include jewelry, glass, wood, metal, ceramics and many more. And this isn’t just a feast for your artistic side; there will also be food vendors and live entertainment to round out the festive event.
