PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A car fire caused major traffic issues on the Schuylkill Expressway Friday morning.
The vehicle caught fire around 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-76, close to the Conshohocken curve.
Eastbound lanes were temporarily shut down while firefighters work to extinguish the blaze.
Two lanes on the westbound side were also blocked for fire department activity, with just the right shoulder getting by.
All lanes in both directions were reopened around 9 a.m.
