A Dunmore man trashed a woman’s apartment and made threatening statements on Sept. 18, according to a criminal complaint.
Robert J. Vinskofski, 58, allegedly threw an air fryer and damaged property at his Sherwood Avenue residence before fleeing officers responding to the incident, police said.
He is charged with making terroristic threats, criminal mischief, harassment and evading arrest.
According to the criminal complaint, at about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, Dunmore police officers responded to 629 Sherwood Ave. for the report of a domestic dispute.
Officers spoke with Vinskofski, who said Marissa Kortawy and Tyler Kortawy had left the residence in the midst of an argument.
Police soon spotted a smashed picture frame and a broken table lamp.
Officers noted that when asked about the broken items, Vinskofski avoided answering.
Police then spoke with Marissa Kortawy and Tyler Kortawy, who had fled to the nearby Burger King.
Tyler Kortawy said he had been upstairs when he heard Vinskofski shouting threats downstairs, including “kill him” and “kill them,” but didn’t know who they were directed toward, according to the complaint.
When he went downstairs, he found Marissa Kortawy shaken up and afraid. The two decided to leave the home.
Marissa Kortawy said Vinskofski was angry and intoxicated, and had earlier punched her in the leg.
Later, he had trashed the apartment, at one point throwing an air fryer at her, which missed.
When officers told Vinskofski he was under arrest, he pulled away and fled down Sherwood Avenue. Police soon caught up with him and took him into custody.
Vinskofski is out on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 29 before District Judge Joanne Corbett.
