DUBOIS, Pa (WJAC) — Dozens of participants laced up their shoes in Clearfield County on Sunday for an impactful cause as Delaney Toyota of DuBois continued its tradition of supporting the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors program.
Organizers say more than 50 people signed up for the annual walk and run 5K, helping to raise thousands of dollars for the foundation.
Participants took on a fast, flat course down Beaver Drive, turning onto the DuBois Walkway, and finishing at the dealership parking lot.
Awards were given to the top male and female finishers, with everyone enjoying lunch and beverages after the event.
“I know for sure that the Delaney’s, they have veterans in their family. We have a lot of veterans that work here. It really touches a lot of people, and a lot of people are connected, so I know that it means a lot to a lot of people.”
Organizers say this year’s turnout was a huge success, adding that they are already looking forward to next year’s event.
