A 19-year-old female driver escaped serious injury after losing control of a car and striking a parked tractor-trailer and entering its rear compartment in Salisbury Township, police said.

The single-vehicle accident happened around 9 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Seidersville Road, township police posted on the department’s Facebook page.

Police said the teen driver of the Honda Civic swerved off of the road and ventured onto private property, where the rig was being stored. The Honda’s impact into the tractor-trailer caused both vehicles to travel about 75 yards before coming to a stop, police said.

The teen driver was arrested at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol or drugs might have been a factor in the accident, police said.

The name of the driver was not immediately available.
