SPRING TWP., Pa. – Red October is starting a few days early here in Phillies country.

And the fans at P.J. Whelihan’s got the memo.

“I’m a Philadelphian through and through. I, you know, breathe and live the sport. So, Red October is the best, best ever,” said Dolores Bertoti.

Despite the rough end to their regular season, fans here say that will, they won’t they, is nothing new.

“Philly people like us, we live and breathe on hot and cold, hot and cold, hot and cold. That’s what we love. We’re always through, you know, through thick and thin, and we’re with the Phillies all the time,” said Bertoti.

And fans here say they’re confident about Tuesday’s game.

“I’m pretty confident we’re going to take home a win today,” said Bradley Kennedy.

And especially motivated to beat their rival.

“What’s most important to me is beating the Braves and then taking it a step at a time,” said Erin Colby.

“We hate the Braves. They’re our nemesis. Yeah. Down with the Braves,” said Bertoti.

And fans say even after 162 games, they have hopes this team can make it all the way

“Hopefully, this motivates them to keep it going and really bring in the confidence and take it home,” said Colby.
