TRAINER, Pa. (WPVI) — Two animals were killed after a two-alarm fire ripped through an apartment in Trainer, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night.

The fire broke out around 7:23 p.m. on the 3300 block of West 3rd Street at Irving Street.

Chopper 6 video showed significant damage to the property, which contains at least seven residential units.

Fire officials said some of the units were occupied when the blaze started, but all residents were able to escape safely.

One man told Action News that his two cats were killed.

The flames were brought under control within 30 minutes, officials said.

Investigators believe the fire may have originated in a second-floor unit, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
