A new biergarten plans to offer Pennsylvania’s best beer when it celebrates a grand opening this weekend in the Lehigh Valley.
Shangy’s Biergarten announced it will hold its grand opening at noon Saturday at 40 E. Main St. in Emmaus, where a steinholding competition will also occur before the state finals.
The new biergarten will feature live music, food trucks, games like cornhole and “the best beer selection in Pennsylvania … outside, under the sky, surrounded by friends, music, and the energy of Emmaus,” the announcement said.
The Shangy’s beer retailer opened in 1980 at the Main Street property.
