First Reading of “Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2026, No. 2000.163”
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 467 of the Local Government Act, that the Council of the City of Parksville will, on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC, consider first reading of the following bylaw:
“ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2026, NO. 2000.163”
proposes to amend “City of Parksville Zoning and Development Bylaw, 1994, No. 2000”.
Further readings of the Bylaw may also be considered at the meeting.
In general terms, the purpose of the proposed amendment to the Zoning and Development Bylaw is to change the zoning on the subject property from its current Residential RS-1 zone to a new Comprehensive Development CD-38A zone to facilitate a multi-family residential development.
The subject property at 386 Hirst Avenue West is shown shaded on the map below and legally described as Lot 1, District Lot 14, Nanoose District, Plan 5797, Except Parcel A (DD 379171I) [PID: 005-928-311]:
