Woman shot in chest in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood; Police investigating
PITTSBURGH —
Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot in the chest in Pittsburgh Thursday.
Pittsburgh Zone 3 officers were called to Knox Avenue around 1:15 a.m. for a woman who had been reportedly shot inside an apartment.
When they got to the area, they found the victim on the sidewalk with another woman. Officers used chest seal and administered CPR until EMS arrived to take her to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Authorities say a second woman was detained following the shooting and has since been taken in for questioning.
