PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Two dogs rescued from a deadly Manayunk fire could need a new home.

The fire broke out Wednesday on the 4400 block of Fleming Street.

Police say Janice Flemming was killed after running back inside, reportedly trying to save the dogs.

Three others, including two firefighters, were injured.

Another dog also died.

The two surviving dogs, ages 12 and 10, were rescued from the basement and are being temporarily boarded.

Their family hopes to bring them home. However, if they can’t, they’ll need a permanent home.

Anyone interested can apply through ACCT Philly.
