Man shot outside Strip District bar; Police searching for suspect
A man is in critical condition after being shot outside Lucky’s in the Strip District.
PITTSBURGH —
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, Zone 2 officers responded to the 1500 block of Penn Avenue for a reported shooting outside the Real Luck Café (Lucky’s) in the Strip District. This happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
Arriving units located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen outside the building. Medics transported him to a hospital in critical condition, and he was immediately taken into surgery.
Police say the male suspect ran away from the area.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence and located shell casings at the scene.
One witness was taken to headquarters for questioning. Violent Crime Division detectives are investigating.
