READING, Pa. – Police are investigating an incident at a home in Berks County after allegedly finding unidentified remains in a container inside the residence, initial reports say.
69 News crews on the scene witnessed a large police presence, hazmat crews, and the Berks County Coroner’s Office vehicle.
The active police incident is taking place at South 6th and Willow Street in Reading, authorities confirm.
Neighbors told 69 News they saw what they describe as workers going in and out of the house earlier today.
Then, a large police presence showed up on the scene, calling for additional help and hazmat suits.
Police will not share any additional information at this time, as the scene is still active and the investigation is just beginning.
