Pittsburgh: Beautiful week ahead

Ample sunshine, dry, and seasonal temperatures for most of the week.

Brian Hutton Jr.PITTSBURGH —

The first weekend of October continues with comfortable conditions. There are not major rain chances in the forecast, although a stray shower is possible Sunday morning in the Laurel Highlands.

Feeling like October

The cold front that passed on Friday will shift east on Sunday and send clouds back to our area in the morning. A sprinkle may be squeezed out in the Laurel Highlands in the morning before sunshine returns through the day.

Cool Temperatures Next Week

After the front clears Sunday, temperatures will bottom out as we head into the first full week of October. Highs on Tuesday may not get out of the 50s for most of us with low temperatures in the 30s. We could see frost concerns for the middle of next week.

We return to more seasonal temperatures by late week. Highs will be near 70 through the weekend with highs back into the middle 70s by Sunday. It looks to be a great weekend for football in Western PA!
