Monday marks an important date in military history.
250 years ago, John Adams drafted a resolution that created what was then known as the Continental Marines.
A celebration will be held at Marine Corps Monument at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown Monday.
The celebration will feature a ceremony, color guard, bugle rendition of the Marine Corps Hymn, and a cake cutting ceremony.
