Western PA: Delightful fall week

Crisp mornings and cool days with plenty of sunshine to go around this week.

Jill SzwedPITTSBURGH —

It is smooth sailing this week! Dry weather will extend over the next seven to ten days. Temperatures take a brief step back through tomorrow. A Frost Advisory is out for the ridges and areas to the northeast.

Cool breeze today

After a calm morning, a northwest wind will pick up through the afternoon. Gusts could reach 25 mph. This will keep temperatures in the low to mid 60s. A few clouds will drift across our sky. Sunshine will be on full display throughout the week.

Patchy frost tonight

The wind eases after dark and clouds will disperse. Temperatures will quickly drop into the lower 40s, even into frosty territory. Patchy frost is possible in the ridges and spots northeast of Pittsburgh.

Warming up late week

We return to more seasonal, even slightly above-normal temperatures by late week. Highs will tick into the middle 70s by Sunday. It looks to be a great weekend for football in Western PA. If any rain were to show up, it won’t arrive until the start of next week.
