A tropical system could spell rain showers for Western PA starting late Sunday.
Our beautiful stretch of weather continues into the weekend as temperatures warm to around 70°. Rain chances look to return at some point at the end of the weekend into the start of next week thanks to tropical trouble in the Gulf.
Warm Up Starts Wednesday
Sunshine will be on full display throughout the week. We will return to more seasonal, even slightly above-normal temperatures. Highs will tick into the middle 70s by Sunday. It looks to be a great weekend for football in Western PA. If any rain were to show up, it won’t arrive until late on Sunday for a brief appearance.
Wet End to the Weekend

The potential for a half inch of rain or more is there for Sunday into Monday from the remnants of a tropical system.

We are keeping our eyes on what may be our next named storm of this Atlantic hurricane season over the next day or two. It is forecast to come on shore late this week and then race off to the northeast. It will eventually bring moisture and rain to Western PA. Right now, the timing looks to bring rain late Sunday into Monday morning. However, the speed at which it develops, and moves onshore, will determine when we see rain here locally. We will keep an eye on it as the week progresses.
