PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating a shootout involving teens and young adults in Strawberry Mansion that left one person hospitalized.
It happened just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday on the 2300 block of North 29th Street.
Investigators say the gunman opened fire from inside a silver sedan into a crowd of about ten people who were gathered outside of a takeout restaurant.
Someone in that crowd then appeared to return fire as the silver sedan fled the scene, according to police.
In all, officials say at least 17-shots were fired.
A 19-year-old man was shot twice in the legs and rushed to Temple Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
