Our beautiful stretch of weather lives on into the start of the weekend. We’ll enjoy sunshine with warming temperatures. Rain returns for Sunday into the start of next week thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Isaias.
Warm Finish to the Week
Sunshine will be on full display throughout the week. We will return to more seasonal, even slightly above-normal temperatures. Daytime highs to finish out the week and into Saturday will remain in the low to mid 70s. It looks to be a great for high school football on Friday and the Pitt game on Saturday. Sunday is the day to watch with rain from remnants of Isaias hitting our region.

The remnants of what is now Hurricane Isaias will bring us plenty of rain on Sunday.
Hurricane Isaias is expected to come onshore late Friday or early Saturday and then race off to the north/northeast. It will eventually bring moisture and rain to Western PA. Right now, the timing looks to bring rain Sunday morning with the heaviest and widespread rain ending Sunday evening. Rainfall totals currently look to generally be between one half and one inch of rain with locally higher amounts possible. With our dry start to October, we should be able to handle the rainfall without major issues. It will be raining for your Steelers tailgate and likely most, if not all, of the game on Sunday.

After the remnants of Isaias leave, we will watch a cold front drop in Tuesday to bring more showers and drop our temperatures. Another cold front looks to get here Friday.
