Iron Hill Brewery is making a resurgence in the Philadelphia region.

The reopenings mark a new beginning for the chain under Jeff Crivello, the former CEO of Famous Dave’s BBQ.

Iron Hill spokespeople told the Patch that Iron Hill will emphasize continuity of the brand experience, focusing changes on a culture of care for team members and guests, while installing a Pennsylvania-based executive team to steer operations.

“This time around we are diligently committed to our team members and guests,” Taylor Hentzman, sales and training manager, told the Patch. “We are laser-focused on a culture of care. I am so excited to be working with a Philly and Pennsylvania executive team who is passionate about our people, product, and community.”

Seasonal beers remain a highlight, the Patch stated. Offerings include Raspberry Cheesecake Sour in Wilmington and Philly Cream Ale in Center City, reflecting the brewers’ pride from tank to tap.

The food menu will stay largely the same, preserving staples like cheesesteak eggrolls, pub burger, and chicken pot pie. New items include Navajo chicken pasta, slow-simmered beef pot roast, and pan-seared scallops.

According to the Patch, the restaurant did not disclose the exact reasons for the September 2025 closures. Factors likely included ongoing struggles and increased competition in the gastropub space, including microbreweries and food trucks.

Several popular locations have not reopened, including Newtown, Phoenixville, Ardmore, Media, Exton, North Wales, and West Chester.

The company said it is not pursuing further expansion at this time and plans to concentrate on the five reopened locations identified earlier in this story.
