WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Gov. Josh Shapiro was back on the campaign trail today, and this time he made a stop in the Lehigh Valley.
Shapiro visited Teamsters Local 773 for a Canvas launch event on Saturday afternoon.
The governor was joined by State Senator Nick Miller and State House nominees Meriam Sabih, Jeff Warren and Rachel Cuevas.
His main focus for this campaign has been working against chaos, cruelty and corruption.
“Leaders are supposed to lead with kindness and be calm; they’re supposed to put people first. They’re not supposed to try and wreak havoc on our communities,” Shapiro remarked.
“But listen, I’ve tried to be a Governor that stands up to the Chaos and the cruelty and the corruption, and I’ve made very clear that if you try to mess with a Pennsylvanian, you’re gonna have to go through me,” he added.
69 News reached out to State Treasurer Stacy Garrity’s campaign for a comment. Her team replied back mentioning the debate the two had on Wednesday.
“Stacy Garrity showed that she is the leader ready to turn our Commonwealth around after four years of Shapiro failures and embarrassments, and on November 3rd voters will have their opportunity to make their voices heard.” the statement said.
