The bridge that carries Business Route 6 (Scranton-Carbondale Highway) over Route 107 (Heart Lake Road/Rushbrook Street) in Mayfield will be closed for 10-minute increments on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. as crews evaluate the existing bridge connections without traffic loadings, PennDOT officials said.

A single lane of traffic will be maintained on Route 107 during this work, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The work is weather dependent, and motorists should take alternate routes to avoid delays, PennDOT officials said.
