Police and EMS were called to an apartment in the 2200 block of Wilner Drive in the East Hills neighborhood around 9:30 p.m.

Police said a ShotSpotter alert indicated 18 rounds, and that the victim was found with multiple wounds to his torso and legs. Officers applied chest seals and tourniquets until medics arrived and took the man to the hospital.

Investigators said a possible shooter was seen fleeing the area, according to witnesses. A description of the suspect was not available.
