Mid Penn Bank recently made a $60,000 donation to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. The donation was presented earlier this month during the coalition’s annual Pink Fountain Event at the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

Rory Ritrievi, Mid Penn Bank president and CEO and PA Breast Cancer Coalition board member, spoke at the event and presented the donation, which was made possible through funds raised during the 2026 Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic, held in July in Hershey. Since its inception in 2016, the Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic has raised and contributed $950,000 to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, the bank said.

“A breast cancer diagnosis can change a life in an instant, and for decades, the PA Breast Cancer Coalition has helped ensure no one has to face that journey alone,” Ritrievi said in a statement. “Mid Penn is proud to continue supporting the PBCC’s work to help those affected by breast cancer today while advancing the progress that brings us closer to a future without it.”

The annual Pink Fountain Event, held on Oct. 6 this year, brings together breast cancer survivors, advocates, lawmakers and community members in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, according to a press release. Each year, the Capitol fountain is turned pink to honor those affected by breast cancer and raise awareness about the need for research, education and support.

The PA Breast Cancer Coalition works to further breast cancer research and provides advocacy and patient resources throughout Pennsylvania. This year, the organization is awarding $500,000 in research grants to Pennsylvania scientists working to advance breast cancer treatment and care, according to the release. Since its research grant program began, the PA Breast Cancer Coalition has awarded more than $6.6 million to researchers across Pennsylvania.

The Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic raises awareness and funding for breast cancer research, advocacy and care. This year’s event also featured Project Pink, Mid Penn’s initiative with the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, where participants assembled 200 Friends Like Me care packages for Pennsylvanians newly diagnosed with breast cancer, the bank said.

Mid Penn Bank is headquartered in Harrisburg and has over 59 retail locations throughout Pennsylvania and central and southern New Jersey. Mid Penn operates locations in Berks (3), Chester (1), Delaware (1), Montgomery (2), and Schuylkill (8) counties.
