The big day is getting closer, but it’s not too late to get into the Halloween spirit.
There are still haunted places to explore and even some not so scary ones with plenty of ghosts and goblins.
The Lincoln Mill Haunted House, 4100 Main St., Manayunk, is back with new rooms, characters, cutting-edge special effects and a new outdoor experience that brings a historic Manayunk mill to life.
“Our goal with Lincoln Mill Haunted House for the season was to go bigger, darker and more terrifying – not only inside with new rooms but outside in the Mill Yard,” said Lincoln Mill Haunted House Co-Founder Jared Bilsak. “We always want to maintain the same level of detail and quality, but to up the game with more twists and turns, and more terror. We added new rooms and experiences inside, continued to extend and enhance our entrance and exit activations, and added more characters. Outside, we wanted to add a major transformation to the experience from the minute you enter the Mill Yard. We are really excited about the projection mapping that will transform the Mill before your eyes.”
A projection mapping system will bring the walls of the Mill Yard to live as light, movement, and imagery transform the outside experience into something new.

Also new this year is the Ghost Tours of Manayunk, which explores the dark history and paranormal stories hidden along the Manayunk Canal.
This immersive guided tour combines Manayunk’s industrial history with real paranormal investigation techniques. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about the people who lived and worked here and use interactive EMF readers to search for the unexplained.
“Each year we want the fear to evolve and our vision is to always deliver something new with our haunts,” Bilsak said. “Entering our fifth year here at the historic textile mill, we don’t just aim to create fear here. We aim to co-exist with it.”
Lincoln Mill is open through Nov. 7, 7-10:30 p.m. Ghost Tours of Manayunk run select Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this fall, with tours at 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. For more information and tickets, go to https://lincolnmillhaunt.com.
