Good evening,
Another frosty night across the Susquehanna Valley. A Freeze Warning has been issued from 1 a.m. – 9 a.m. Monday for York County. Lebanon and Lancaster counties will be under a Frost Advisory for the same timeframe.
The growing season officially ended for Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Mifflin, and Perry counties. Therefore, the National Weather Service will no longer be issuing frost/freeze alerts for these areas until Spring 2027.
Tonight, lows will dip into the mid and upper-30s, making another round of frost possible early Monday morning, so be sure to cover or bring in plants. Monday will be another bright, sunny day with seasonable highs in the mid-60s. You don’t have to be concerned about frost or freeze Monday night. Lows will fall to the low 40s.
The nor’easter developing off the Mid-Atlantic coast will remain too far offshore to bring any impacts to south-central Pennsylvania. Any issues related to the nor’easter will remain confined to the coastline.
It’s a warmer day Tuesday, as highs approach 70 degrees under mainly sunny skies. High pressure continues to dominate the eastern half of the U.S.
Highs will fall slightly to the mid-to-upper 60s Wednesday through Friday. No rain is expected throughout the week as sunshine and dry conditions linger.
The upcoming weekend looks partly to mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs are slightly cooler in the low-to-mid 60s.
Looking ahead to the extended forecast, the next rain chance will hold off until the following Tuesday.
Have a great night!
