PITTSBURGH —
Pennsylvania State police said multiple people were injured following a wrong-way crash on the Parkway East early Sunday morning.
Officials said the crash happened around 2 a.m.
Dispatchers told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that a vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes near the Oakland exit when it hit another vehicle head on.

Both passengers in each car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were treated for minor injuries on scene.
The road was closed for several hours. It has since been reopened.
State police said an investigation is ongoing.
