One restaurant is lending a helping hand as cleanup efforts continue at the Erie Cemetery.

The Erie Cemetery was one of the hardest-hit properties in the storms on September 3, and it’s taking a community effort to return the land to its former state.

That’s why Meeder’s Restaurant from Ripley, New York, will serve barbecue chicken dinners to help raise money.

Erie Cemetery expected to be closed through Nov. as cleanup continues

The dinner includes half of a chicken, coleslaw, beans and a bread roll.

Becky Weiser, Erie Cemetery marketing specialist, said, “It is so wonderful to have the community support that we’ve had, but to have this restaurant step forward and say, ‘we want to do this’ has been a great way, I’m calling it a delicious way to support the cleanup here at the cemetery.”

Each dinner is $25 and tickets be purchased ahead of time.
