Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro is set to speak at the upcoming “Rally in the Valley” event, hosted by the Penn State College Democrats, the group announced Thursday.
The event will take place from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Sunday. No exact location has been announced, but a pin on the sign-up page marks the Intramural Fields, near Lot 12.
Shapiro will be joined by state Reps. Paul Takac and Scott Conklin, and the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District, Ray Bilger.
“Rally in the Valley” is part of Shapiro’s new Statewide Bus Tour, which began on October 20, 10 days before the election. The tour will include 29 counties in the next 10 days.
Shapiro is seeking reelection against Republican candidate and current state Treasurer Stacy Garrity. Shapiro assumed office as Pennsylvania’s governor on January 17, 2023. Before that, he served as Pennsylvania’s Attorney General.
Folks who want to attend must RSVP. For more information about “Rally in the Valley,” or to sign up, visit here.
