UPPER MACUNGIE, Pa. – On Friday, Marvin and Blanche Schantz celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary.
To celebrate, the couple’s daughter, Marilyn, organized a party at the Country Meadows Retirement Community in Upper Macungie.
Guests enjoyed cake and refreshments and looked at pictures from the couple’s many other anniversaries leading up to this one.
Marvin talked to 69 News about the secret to their success, or at least, his success.
“All you have to do is say, yes ma’am,” he said.
Both Marvin and Blanche are 98 years old. They have several children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn said she wanted to throw the party to show that there is still love out there for couples… even after 79 years.
