Man riding scooter struck by car in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man is in serious condition after being hit by a car while riding a scooter in West Philadelphia.

Police say the crash happened on Market Street near 52nd Street just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The 41-year-old man was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
