HANOVER TWP., Pa. – Lehigh Valley International Airport appears to be flying high.

88,368 passengers used LVIA last month, the highest monthly passenger traffic level for September on record, according to a news release from the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

That is a 14.53% increase from September 2025, when 77,155 passengers came through the airport, LNAA said.

“For many years, September meant a slowdown. This coincides with the end of summer vacations and the start of a new school year. Yet, since 2022, every September has shown a steady increase of passenger traffic growth at ABE,” LNAA Executive Director Thomas R. Stoudt said.

LNAA said Delta Air Lines jumped 19%, American Airlines was up 13.8%, and Allegiant increased 13.7%.

United Airlines dipped 5.5% compared to last September, according to LNAA.

22.5 million pounds of air cargo was processed through Lehigh Valley International Airport last month, a decrease of 16.71% from September 2025, the LNAA said in its news release.
