SOUTH HEIDELBERG TWP., Pa. – A water main break in Berks County was quickly fixed Monday morning.
South Heidelberg Police Department said its officers responded to the area of Penn and Aspen avenues for a water main break at 3:45 a.m. The road was closed while repairs were completed.
The Pennsylvania American Water Authority made emergency repairs on what a spokesperson described as a “minimal” water main break. No customers were affected, and the issue was fixed within an hour.
The spokesperson said it’s unclear what caused the water main break, but said such issues can be a result of aging infrastructure.
