Julia “Julie” Ann (Pamula) Regal age 92, of Erie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
She was born in Erie on May 25, 1934, a daughter of the late Leo and Theresa Benzi Pamula.
Julie attended the former St. Anne’s School in Erie, where she formed many lifelong friendships and then went on to graduate from East High School.
She worked at Sears Roebuck in the children’s department for several years.
Julie loved cooking, baking, cardinals, attending Gannon basketball games and taking walks on Presque Isle with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert L. Regal; and infant son. Thomas Regal; a son, Gary Regal; a brother, Leo Pamula, Jr, and a sister, Mary Jane Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Robert L. Regal, Jr. of Millcreek, Pamela Donner (John) of Union City, Ricky J. Regal (Mariea) of Wesleyville and Michael Regal (Laurie) of Erie; two siblings, Sandy Tracy and Larry Hoteling; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Thursday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Church 638 Roslyn Ave, Erie, PA 16505. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmaus Ministries 345 E. Ninth Street, Erie PA 16503 or to St. Julia Church.
