The Smiley Cookie is getting a boozy makeover.
Eat’n Park and Strip District-based Wigle Whiskey have teamed up to create Smiley Cookie Whiskey, a new spirit that combines the nostalgic flavors of the sugar cookie with a decidedly grown-up twist.
The limited-edition, 70-proof whiskey celebrates the 40th anniversary of Eat’n Park’s Smiley Cookie and is now available for purchase at select locations and online.
The spirit features a “light corn whiskey infused with vanilla beans” to create a taste reminiscent of the cookies, according to a release from Wigle. The release specifically highlights notes of “royal icing, vanilla and sugar cookie” in the adult beverage, which might leave drinkers with a similarly wide, relaxed smile as those iced onto its namesake cookies.
The adult beverage can be purchased for $39 at Wigle Distillery and the Ross Park Mall Bottle Shop, where a 750-milliliter bottle comes with a complimentary Smiley Cookie. It’s also currently available at Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores.
