ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A prominent property that has been home to Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works for nearly two decades has gone on the market as two of the business’ co-founders are retiring.

The five-story, mixed-use building, at 812 W. Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown, went on the market this week with a listing price of $6.5 million, co-owner Jeff Fegley said.

Fegley founded Fegley’s Brew Works with his brother, Rich Fegley, late brother, Dave Fegley, and parents, Peg and Dick Fegley.

In a press release, the family announced Peg and Dick’s retirement and the sale of the iconic Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works building.

The business will continue its full operations, which includes serving award-winning brews and food and hosting events, without interruption during the transition.

The Allentown Brew Works location opened in 2007, nine years after the family established Fegley’s Bethlehem Brew Works at Main and Broad streets in downtown Bethlehem in 1998, Jeff told 69 News on Monday.

Jeff and Rich’s other brother, Mike, also assisted with operations for several years before moving to Colorado.

“For 27 years, mom and dad’s passion and vision, including Dave’s creativity, built a legacy we’re proud to carry forward,” Rich said in a news release. “Their leadership taught us resilience and the joy of bringing people together. We wish them a retirement filled with the same warmth they’ve given us all.”

“Working with mom, dad, and Dave was a gift,” Jeff added. “Their heart and hustle made every moment at Brew Works special. Dave’s spirit still inspires us, and we’re thrilled for mom and dad to enjoy this well-earned next chapter.”

Reflecting from Colorado, Mike Fegley shared, “Helping lay the foundation for Allentown Brew Works with my mom and dad, and my brothers, was a labor of love. Their dedication built something truly remarkable, and I’m so proud to see their legacy endure as they step into retirement.”

The sale of the building will assist with Peg and Dick’s retirement, Jeff said.

Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works will remain fully operational during the sale process, ensuring a seamless experience for patrons.

Additionally, Rich and Jeff will continue leading the flagship Bethlehem Brew Works, honoring their family’s commitment to quality, sustainability and community, while keeping Dave’s memory alive.

The Allentown Brew Works building, a five-story, mixed-use property totaling more than 51,000 square feet, “blends history and potential,” the news release states.

Renovated in 2007 and 2012, it features:

Lower-level lounge, ground-floor dining, and upper-level event spaces;Commercial kitchen and on-site brewing infrastructure;Income-generating office and tenant spaces with exposed brick and glass walls;Prime location near the Da Vinci Science Center, PPL Center and Archer Music Hall.

Century 21 Keim Commercial is overseeing the sale.

“This property reflects the Fegley family’s extraordinary vision,” broker Loren Keim said. “It’s a unique opportunity for a new owner to build on their legacy or reimagine this cultural landmark in the heart of the NIZ.”

It’s business as usual at both Fegley’s Brew Works locations as no operational changes are planned during the Allentown building’s sale process, Jeff said.

Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works offers dining services Friday through Sunday, while Fegley’s Bethlehem Brew Works is open daily. Both spots offer a variety of spaces for event hosting.

“[Bethlehem Brew Works is still a cornerstone of downtown Bethlehem, and we just renewed our lease there,” Jeff said.

“It’s sort of been our staple all of these years, and we have no intentions to stop there either. In Allentown, we’ve made a balance. Rather than being open seven days a week, we’re open three days a week, and that seems to balance the labor versus sales and life that’s down there. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are still the best because of banqueting and special events, like hockey games and other events at PPL Center. It’s our intent to keep everything going on as it’s been going for quite some time.”
