COOPERSBURG, Pa. – A family-run eatery known for its hand-crafted tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and other Mexican favorites has expanded operations with a new location.

A second location of Brothers Tacos opened this week at 565 E. Station Ave. in Coopersburg, Lehigh County.

The new eatery supplements Brothers Tacos’ original location, which brothers Wilson Gomez and Marvin Gomez opened in March 2024 at 105 Heckman St. in Phillipsburg.

Over the past 2.5 years, the Phillipsburg restaurant has built a large and loyal following thanks to its tasty eats and friendly service, and the Gomezes saw an opportunity to serve more customers with another regional location.

The business is a true family affair with the Gomezes’ sister, Patricia Gomez, assisting with operations.

“We’re very excited,” Wilson told 69 News. “We’ll offer the same menu at the new location. People love everything, but our birria tacos are the most popular.”

The Gomezes performed renovations at the Coopersburg spot, a corner property that was previously home to other eateries, including AD’s Kitchen, La Catrina Mexican restaurant and most recently, Coopersburg Bagels & Deli.

The Phillipsburg restaurant features seating for 36 guests, and the new Coopersburg location accommodates around 45, Wilson said.

Like the Phillipsburg location, the new Coopersburg also features seasonal outdoor dining.

Guests can enjoy the same Brothers Taco menu that’s featured in Phillipsburg, with appetizers such as ceviche, guacamole, elote (street corn), and bacon-wrapped jalapeños

Tacos, served in corn tortillas and garnished with cilantro and onions, include options such as chicken, chorizo, carnitas, al pastor, barbacoa, steak, shrimp, and veggies. There are also specialty birria tacos and quesabirria tacos.

More than two dozen entrees include picks such as mahi mahi tacos, steak paisano (T-bone and shrimp, with mushrooms, onions and peppers; served with rice and beans), enchiladas chipotle (three enchiladas – one beef, one chicken and one pork, served with pico de gallo, sour cream, rice and beans) and molcajete Azteca (hot volcanic stone bowl filled with juicy ribeye steak, chicken breast, grilled shrimp, poblano peppers, nopales onions, pineapple chunks and honey pasilla sauce topped with shredded cheese; served with rice, beans and tortillas).

Other menu highlights include a wide array of quesadillas, burritos, fajitas, tortas, nachos and salads. There are also desserts such as flan, churros, sopapilla, and fried ice cream.
