Gabriel ThomasREADING, Pa. —

Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity is scheduled to campaign in Reading as candidates make their final push ahead of Election Day.

Garrity plans to speak at 12:30 p.m. at Lancaster Avenue Plaza, outlining proposals aimed at addressing energy costs, taxes and data center development.

Her platform includes expanding natural gas production, tapping state reserves to temporarily suspend Pennsylvania’s gasoline and diesel taxes, and reducing property taxes for homeowners.

Garrity is also calling for a pause on new data center projects. She says local communities should have a voice in where the facilities are built and that developers should supply their own power and water while taking responsibility for impacts on surrounding communities.

The Reading appearance comes with just days remaining before voters head to the polls.
