Wegmans will become the new anchor tenant of the Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, officials announced Thursday morning.
The grocery chain joins Roadside Development to move in and reimagine the old two-story Kaufmann’s location.
The new location will be around 110,000 square foot and will feature all departments you would typically see at a Wegmans, including produce, seafood, meat, bakery, deli, cheese, and restaurant foods, as well as an extensive selection of wine and beer.
“As we make progress on our first store in the Pittsburgh market in Cranberry Township, we’re thrilled to take another exciting step in the region with the purchase of the Galleria Mall property in Mt. Lebanon,” said Dan Aken, Wegmans Vice President of Real Estate and Store Planning. “We recognize the significance this property holds for the community and see a tremendous opportunity to give it new life. Together with Roadside Development, we look forward to reinventing the site in a way that honors its importance to the community and creates something we can all be proud of.”
Renovations are expected to begin at the Galleria in 2028. The store’s first Pittsburgh area location in Cranberry Township is expected to open in fall of 2027.
