How is it not criminal that state lawmakers continue to collect taxpayer-funded paychecks and travel expenses and even host campaign events — while failing to pass a budget on time?
How is it OK that school districts are faced with paying interest and borrowing fees on the loans they’ve had to take out because lawmakers haven’t passed a state budget?
Why should Pennsylvania taxpayers be expected to keep paying taxes when state payments and programs are halted because the budget is more than four months late?
If I failed to do my job, abused my position or didn’t show up, I’d be fired.
Why do we continue to vote for people who shape laws in their favor?
It’s time for accountability. Politics on both sides of the aisle have gotten out of control.
