NORTHAMPTON BORO., Pa. – The captain of a fire department in Northampton County has died.
Northampton Borough Fire Department (NFD) has announced the death of Captain Michael Booke.

The fire department said that Booke joined the department in 1998 and served in numerous roles, most recently as Captain.
Prior to his service with the NFD, he was a trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police, eventually becoming the Fire Marshall of Troop M before retiring in 2017.
“Captain Booke was known for his willingness to assist others, often volunteering for difficult tasks, sharing his expertise, and providing support during challenging times,” the fire department said in a Facebook post.
