SHILLINGTON, Pa. – A Berks County man is making strides in his bid to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
Ultra-marathoner Brendan Morgan of Shillington is running across Pennsylvania, from one end all the way to the other, and Thursday he’s hoping to reach the finish line.
Brendan crossed into our portion of the state Wednesday, and his home county. Our cameras were able to spot him on Penn Avenue in the Wernersville area.
It’s part of his 341-mile across the state run that he started near Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Brendan is raising awareness and funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Brendan was in Exeter, gearing up for his last leg of his run. He is expected to run just over 60 miles Thursday to finish at the Washington Crossing Bridge.
For those who want to track the last leg, you can view a live GPS tracker.
