Strong gusts of frigid winds will blow through the Lehigh Valley on Sunday, making driving difficult and running the risk of power outages if tree limbs are knocked around.

According to the National Weather Service, much of eastern Pennsylvania, including Lehigh and Northampton counties, are under a wind advisory from 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. Expect western winds between 20 to 30 miles an hour, and gusts of up to 50 miles an hour.

The weather service is cautioning residents to secure outdoor objects and drive carefully, as strong winds can make driving difficult. The strong winds could also blow down tree limbs, leading to power outages.
